JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Just as the holiday season is ramping up, a Jackson company is giving back to one organization that helps the homeless.

Employees from Briggs Equipment served food at Stewpot Sunday afternoon.

The company also donated ten thousand dollars to the non-profit.

Each branch of Briggs equipment is given money to help improve the community where their employees work.

They say it's important to give back.

"I encourage everybody to have a place to provide clothing and blankets and hats and gloves up here. I encourage every company and every individual person to pull together and donate that stuff because some of these people don't have a place to go," said Liz Pyles of Briggs Equipment.

Covenant Church provided the food for Sunday's meal.
