Dr. Booker's death ruled accidental

MADISON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Dr. Joseph Booker's death has been ruled accidental. The autopsy shows he suffered a stroke and drowned in his bath tub.

Madison Police responded to a welfare concern at his residence in the Cobblestone Subdivision around 5:30 p.m.. Thursday.  Relatives contacted authorities when they couldn't reach Dr. Booker for several days.

Investigators discovered Booker dead inside his home.

Booker, an abortion doctor, formerly practiced at the Jackson Women's Health Organization Clinic.
