Biloxi's White House Hotel sold to developer

BILOXI, MS (WLOX) -

Ownership of the old White House Hotel in Biloxi has officially changed hands. And there are plans to turn the landmark into an upscale restaurant and hotel.

Barrington Development purchased the property from White House Properties, held by the Love family for decades.

Gulfport attorney Joel Blackledge, who represents Barrington, told us the company will continue to renovate the structure to retain the character of the hotel. Plans also include bringing back the pool.

The renovations should be finished by next summer.
