Alabama dismantles Stillman 102-65 in Preseason NIT Tournament

The Crimson Tide overwhelmed Stillman College 102-65 and advanced to the second round of the Preseason NIT Tournament. The Crimson Tide overwhelmed Stillman College 102-65 and advanced to the second round of the Preseason NIT Tournament.

TUSCALOOSA, AL (RNN) - Alabama overwhelmed Stillman College for most of the game, eventually winning 102-65 in the first round of the Preseason NIT Tournament.

Levi Randolph led the Crimson Tide (2-1) with 17 points while Carl Engstrom had eight rebounds. Algie Key led with five assists.

Free throws helped Alabama cushion their lead - they made 23 of 31 while the Tigers made only four of their nine free throws.

Alabama led Stillman through most of the first half, hitting 52-36 before the break. The Crimson Tide completely dominated in the second half, leading by as much as 40 points with about six minutes left. It was the first game since 2005 that Alabama scored at least 100 points.

Alabama moves on to the second round of the tournament, taking on Georgia State Tuesday night.
