Police arrest UMass stabbing suspect

Amherst police arrested a man for allegedly stabbing a UMass student multiple times over the weekend.

Police say 24-year-old Noah Pfister is suspected of stabbing a 21-year-old in the neck and chest on Pine Street early Saturday morning.

The victim went to Baystate Medical Center and is expected to survive.

Pfister is expected to be arraigned Tuesday on charges of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

He is being held on $25,000 bail.
