GAUTIER, MS (WLOX) -

The Bossier Parish Sheriff's Office is asking for information from the public regarding Bossier Parish murder suspect Robert Bond.

According to Bossier Parish Sheriff's Lieutenant Bill Davis, Bond is accused of murdering his estranged wife Ann (Annie) Bond.

"We believe foul play was a major factor. Robert Bond has previous run-ins with the law, but nothing serious or anything that would lead investigators to what he is accused of today," Davis said. "Our plan is that if he gets well we will go through the extradition process."

Gautier police said a private security company has taken over watch on Bond at the Singing River Hospital in Pascagoula.

Bond remains in critical condition after shooting himself in the head in his truck Friday in Gautier.

Bossier City Sheriff's Office has taken over this investigation.

"Our main focus is to find Ann Bond," Davis said. "We got a lot initially yesterday, but we are still asking for the public's support."

Davis said investigators know Davis had some ties to the Gulf Coast, but they aren't sure which specific area.

CSI is still looking at the truck for any evidence.

Based on two facts: physical evidence at the residence and witness statements, Bond will be charged with second degree murder once he makes it out of the hospital, Davis said.

"We are tracking down every lead we can, we are looking for her from Bossier Parish to South Mississippi," Davis said.

On Saturday, authorities continue their search for Ann Bond.

Anyone who may have seen Bond's 2005, white, Chevrolet, with a black bumper and tool box, 2500 HD, four door truck is asked to call the Bossier Parish Sheriff's Office 318-965-2203.
