Pedestrian killed, struck several times

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

A pedestrian is dead after a fatal accident on a Jackson Street. The incident happened around 6p.m. Friday evening, in front of Neely's Auto Electric, just north of the intersection of Gallatin and Rankin Streets.

A witness said the victim ran down the street and fell down face first, screaming and crying. He was then struck three times by three different vehicles, and all the vehicles left the scene.

According to officer Colendula Green, the victim has not been identified, and no arrests have been made.

    Mississippi is one of only two states that is still honoring Confederate Memorial Day this year.
