JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Church services were interrupted by gunfire in Jackson Wednesday night. It happened at a coin operated laundry at 1018 Pecan Park Circle which is off of Robinson Road.

Members were getting ready to attend services. Eyewitnesses say two unidentified men were arguing inside the coin laundry. One pulled out a gun and the other took off outside.

The armed assailant fired and the victim was struck twice. He was taken by a private vehicle to an area hospital. We don't know the victim's condition.

The church's pastor says he is concerned about the violence.

"We teach love and we're here to be a blessing," said Bishop Page C. Frazier of the Greater New Life United Pentecostal Church. " And, we're here to make an impact on this community and we're just sorry all this happened. We are living at the end of times."

Jackson Police say both people involved in the incident were hospitalized. JPD also says the two will face charges.
