Police chase ends in arrest

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

A high speed chase from Rankin County into Jackson has ended with an arrest. Behind bars right now is 46-year-old Christopher L. Smith of Jackson.

Flowood Police have charged him with multiple charges including two counts of Receiving Stolen Property, Resisting Arrest and two counts of Aggravated Assault on a Police Officer.

According to the Flowood Police Chief, an officer was injured during the high speed chase. The officer was taken to UMC and since has been released.

The chase started in the Oak Grove subdivision off Old Fannin Road. It ended on Lakeland drive right passed Ridgewood road.
