ISOH/IMPACT needs help sending team and supplies to Philippines

PERRYSBURG, OH (Toledo News Now) -

ISOH/IMPACT is making plans to send a response team and relief supplies to areas devastated by Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines but they need your help.

They are teaming up with SCORE, a charitable foundation of the Filipino Association of Toledo.

A team of skilled medical professionals assembled by SCORE's Dr. Richard Paat, are scheduled to leave Thursday. They're looking to ship approximately 21 tons of supplies before they leave.

"I think the community does good things and I think they're the best, because they responded within 24 hours, and are responding right now to help us," said Dr. Linda Greene with ISOH/IMPACT.

Cash donations are needed to help cover the costs of airfare, to purchase medications and to ship supplies.

You can also help by donating the following items for the Bucket Brigade

-cleaning supplies

-personal care items

-first aid supplies

-canned and nonperishable food items

-pet supplies

-paper towels

-toilet paper

-tissues

-laundry detergent.

Please do not donate glass containers, bottled water, or expired products.

Donations can be dropped off at ISOH/IMPACT's Distribution Center located at 905 Farnsworth Road in Waterville, at the Huntington Center in downtown Toledo, as well as any Toledo area Tireman Auto Service Center.

For large-scale corporate and manufacturing donations, contact the ISOH/IMPACT offices to schedule a delivery.

Cash and credit card donations can be made online or sent directly to the ISOH/IMPACT offices at 25182 West River Road in Perrysburg.
