BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

LSU Police arrested a man Tuesday afternoon on charges of unauthorized entry of a place of business, felony theft of a bicycle and possession of stolen property.

In late October, LSU police received a report that someone was using a room in Patrick F. Taylor Hall on the LSU campus. The room is a lounge area for grad students that is not used often.

When police found the person's property, other possible stolen items were found.

The person was identified as 43-year-old Scott Edward Michelli of Baton Rouge.

On November 4 police were able to obtain an arrest warrant and a flyer was distributed to the LSU community.

On November 5, LSU police got a call from a member of the LSU community saying they saw a man they believed to be Michelli near South Campus Drive and Highland Road, riding a bicycle. He was positively identified and was arrested.

Michelli was taken to the LSU Police Department.

LSU Police discovered the bicycle in Michelli's possession was stolen on October 14 from Allen Hall.

The investigation is ongoing and additional charges could be filed.
