MGCCC making access to financial aid refunds easier

BILOXI, MS (WLOX) -

The Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College is working to make it easier for students to receive their financial aid refunds. The school announced MGCCC has partnered with Higher One to make the MGCCC Bulldog card.

According to MGCCC's website:

"We've made the switch to Higher One's services to simplify your life and your finances, and to free up our administrative staff so they have more time to focus on serving you the student. Not to mention Higher One offers smarter choices for refund delivery and a great variety of accounts designed with you in mind."

Starting December, students currently enrolled in the Fall semester with financial aid should receive their MGCCC Bulldog card. Plus students without financial aid will also receive the card because the school may have a refund for them in the future.

The card, which financial aid can be deposited on, can be used to make purchases on our off campus.

Once students receive their card they will need to log into the website and choose from three refund delivery options:

•Direct Deposit into your bank account

•Direct Deposit into a new HigherOne checking account

 •Paper Check

Students with questions about the card can call their campus Business Office. Visit MyOneMoney.com to learn more about the all-new MGCCC Bulldog Card coming to campus 12/13/2013.

Full-time Waveland city workers, primarily police officers, who take-home vehicles outside of the city limits could see a change to the city's policy soon. City leaders said the current policy is antiquated and needs to be rewritten into something that would benefit both the officers and the taxpayers.
