Wood County election results have come in and there were a few races to watch.

Mike Olmstead defeated Laura Hummer for Perrysburg mayor by a vote of 2,822 to 1,931.

Molly Mack defeated Tom Mackin for Perrysburg municipal judge by a vote of 6,452 to 4,564.

And the Bowling Green charter amendment against fracking failed. There were 3,458 against the amendment, and 1,191 voted for it.

Opponents, including the mayor, were concerned about the vague wording of the amendment.

An ordinance had previously been passed in Bowling Green to ban fracking. Supporters of the charter amendment believe the ordinance was not sufficient and wanted extra coverage.
