Anderson to face Liddell in District 110 runoff

Posted: Updated:
JACKSON COUNTY, MS (WLOX) -

Jeramey Anderson received the most votes in Tuesday's special election for the House seat in District 110. But he still must face Aneice Liddell in a runoff.

Anderson won 902 votes to Liddell's 634. There are still 67 absentee ballots and nine affidavits that need to be counted, but those will not be enough to change the outcome of the race for an outright winner.

Five candidates were running for the seat vacated by Billy Broomfield, who is now serving as the mayor of Moss Point. District 110 includes parts of Moss Point and Pascagoula.
