Deputies search for man accused of shooting 2 people at his home

POINTE AUX CHENES, LA (WAFB) -

Investigators are on the hunt for a man suspected of trying to kill two people Monday afternoon.

The Terrebonne Parish Sheriff's Office said Adam Naquin, 42, of Pointe aux Chenes, is wanted on two counts of attempted second-degree murder.

He is the suspected gunman in a shooting at his home that left two people injured. Deputies said it happened on the side of his house.

They added both victims are hospitalized in stable condition and expected to recover.

According to TPSO, one of the victims is a woman who was hit in the head several times with a blunt object.

Detectives said they have learned Naquin and the victims know each other.

They have not yet established the motive for the shooting.

The investigation is ongoing.
