GREER, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Earl Simmons, known as rapper DMX, was arrested at the Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport Monday night.

Airport Spokeswoman Rosilyn Weston said DMX was charged with driving under suspension, driving uninsured and operating an unlicensed vehicle.

Airport officials said officers made the arrest after DMX drove up to the terminal.

DMX was known to the officers, according Weston.  She said two people were also in the vehicle with DMX, but were not charged.

Jail records show DMX was booked just before 6:30 p.m. He made bond later in the night.

Simmons was released from jail after posting $1,335 to make bond.

DMX's Publicist Domenick Nati, with Nati Celebrity Services, released this statement early Tuesday morning, "DMX was released at 9:46 p.m. Eastern Monday night. He was arrested on minor traffic charges and spent only three hours in jail.  This short arrest will not affect any of his upcoming concerts, and he is planning on performing with Swizz Beatz on Wednesday's Wendy Williams Show."
