Two injured in motorcycle wreck

MADISON COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -

A traffic accident sends two people to the hospital.

The incident happened just before 9 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of Carroll Road and Yarbrough Road in Madison County. According to officials at the scene, a man and woman riding a motorcycle missed a stop sign and ended up going down an embankment.

The man was med-flighted to Huntsville hospital. The woman was taken  by HEMSI to the Huntsville Hospital.

No word on the extent of their injuries.

    Mississippi Public Service Commissioner Cecil Brown spoke Thursday morning at the Neshoba County Fair. And a portion of his remarks focused on the Kemper County lignite plant roughly 30 miles from the fairgrounds. "The Kemper story is not over," the commissioner said, "but one way or another it is nearing the end." Brown used part of his speech to explain the latest developments between his agency and Mississippi Power regarding its $7.5 billion plant.
