Mobile home in Harrison County destroyed by fire

Posted: Updated:

A mobile home in Harrison County on Bosarge Road just north of Long Beach was destroyed early Saturday morning following a fire, according to Harrison County Fire Marshal Pat Sullivan.

Sullivan said the fire happened around 2 a.m. That fire woke up a neighbor who contacted firefighters.

Sullivan said the fire at the mobile home also caused heat damage to the neighbor's garage which is located several yards away. Firefighters were able to save the garage.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation. Sullivan said it took five units and a dozen men from Lizana Fire Department, Harrison County Fire Services and Long Beach Fire Department to put out the fire.

Sullivan said no one was injured and no one lived at the mobile home which was for sale.
