AUGUSTA, GA (WFXG) -

The Augusta Regional Airport is searching for local musicians, theatre groups and singers to perform for passengers traveling through the airport during the holidays.

The Augusta Regional Airport Holiday Performance Series will take place each day at 9 a.m., 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. from Dec. 16 to Dec. 23. The performances will be held in the airport terminal building in the gate area.

Anyone who wants to audition for the series can send a pre-recorded audition tape or video with at least three examples of performances to Lauren Smith at 1501 Aviation Way in Augusta, Ga.

The deadline for audition tapes is Nov. 8. The Augusta Regional Airport Art Committee will evaluate the auditions, and performers selected will be notified by phone. All performers for their performance will be paid at a set hourly rate.
