Whether you're an art enthusiast or you can't tell the difference between an oil painting and a watercolor, this weekend Ocean Springs is the place to be. More than 300 regional artists are participating in the 35th Annual Peter Anderson Festival. The downtown area will be filled with booths and displays of every kind of art you can imagine. The fun begins at 9 both Saturday and Sunday mornings and lasts until 5 p.m. For more information, click here.

 

Festival Against Crime

Biloxi Town Green

This Saturday, the Biloxi Police Department is putting on their annual Festival Against Crime. Come out and meet the first responders who serve your community. The Police Dive and Rescue Team, Bomb Squad, Traffic Division and SRT teams will have displays set up with anti-crime information..  The Biloxi Fire Department will also be present. There will be plenty of food and a variety of games. It's open to the public, so consider this your invitation.

 

6th Annual Barktoberfest

Historic Depot District, Bay St. Louis

Get your leashes ready, because it's time for the 6th Annual Barktoberfest. Bring your furry friends to the Historic Bay St. Louis Depot area this Saturday to join in the fun. Enjoy great food, drinks, costume contests, and the ever-popular "Tailedega" dachshund race. All proceeds benefit Friends of the Animal Shelter in Hancock County.     The former nurse charged in the death of an inmate is suing a woman who posted comments on social media. Carmon Sue Brannan filed the lawsuit on Feb. 13, 2018, one month after a mistrial was declared. Brannan - a former nurse at George County Correctional Facility - is accused of denying medical care to Joel Dixon, who was an inmate there when he died.
