Oregon Police looking for armed robbery suspect

OREGON, OH (Toledo News Now) -

Oregon Police are looking for a man they say robbed a Sunoco gas station on Woodville and Pickle Road.

Police say a man walked into the gas station and bought a bag of chips, then went outside. A few minutes later he went back in the store and pulled out what police say appears to be a semiautomatic hand gun.

Surveillance video shows the man pointing the weapon at the clerk and demanding cash from the register. He then makes the clerk lie on the ground and walks out the door.

"He has a weapon, so safety is always our number one concern," said Det. Ryan Spangler. "We're taking this crime very seriously and will do the best we can in our investigation."

Police say no one was injured, but the suspect got away with $126. He will be charged with aggravated robbery.

The man is described as a white male in his mid-to-late 20s, with a goatee and has a tattoo on his left wrist.

Anyone with information that could lead to the suspect's arrest is asked to call Oregon Police at 419-698-7062.
