38 states allow early voting for their elections. Those states allow any qualified voter to cast a ballot in person for a designated period before election day. No excuse nor justification is required. But Mississippi is not one of those states.
In Mississippi, you must either vote in person on election day or vote absentee with an excuse as to why you can't vote in person. We believe it is time for Mississippi to join 38 other states and allow early voting. It's a matter of convenience for the voters and will improve voter turnout.
Voting is key in this democratic republic. Let's make sure all qualified voters have an opportunity to cast a ballot.
