SCAD students recreate Cinderella's Carriage

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

When Disney On Ice Princesses and Heroes debuts in Savannah on Wednesday, patrons will be greeted by Cinderella's Pumpkin Carriage, courtesy of the Sculpture Forum at the Savannah College of Art & Design.

The group has been working on the carriage since last week on the SCAD campus in Boundary Hall.

The pumpkin came from the Savannah State Farmer's Market and was 80 inches in circumference and three feet tall when it was delivered to the students.
Finishing touches will be completed on Tuesday, Oct. 29 beginning at 5:30 p.m.

The carriage sculpture will be delivered to the Savannah Civic Center on Wednesday, just in time for the opening night performance of Disney on ice.

Maria Wallace, a SCAD student on the sculpture team, said it was a great opportunity.

"Well it was really nice we had the whole sculpture forum team to work on it, we kind of gave everyone a different task."
