High schoolers collecting food donations for national program

Posted: Updated:

CAROLINA FOREST, SC (WMBF) – A group of theater students at Carolina Forest are participating in a national program to collect canned and dry good for local charities and food banks.

The International Thespian Society announced that Carolina forest High School's Thespian troupe #5964 is taking part in the "Trick or Treat So Kids Can Eat" program.

Students will be collecting food donations Tuesday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Carolina Forest High School to benefit The Salvation Army. Thousands of pounds of food will be collected in one night across the state, giving organizations the ability to help thousands of people, organizers for the event stated.

Food can also be dropped off at the Carolina Forest High School front office.
