Local schools still alive in search for softball state title

COLUMBUS, GA (WTOC) -

Championship week in the GHSA for girls sports starts this week, and eight area schools still have a chance at a state title.

Jeff Davis, Pierce County, Glynn Academy, Wayne County, South Effingham, Effingham County and Savannah Christian are all still vying for that elusive state title in softball.

All of the area schools will open their series' on Thursday in Columbus in the State Championship Tournament.
