GULFPORT, MS (WLOX) -

Gulfport Police are still searching for the second person who robbed the Cash 2 Go check cashing business on Pass Road. It happened around 3:30 Thursday afternoon.

Investigators said two armed men wearing bandanas walked into the business and demanded money from employees. After getting an undisclosed amount of cash, both men drove off in a white Chevy Impala.

A short while later, a vehicle matching that description was spotted by officers on East Pass Road, near Debuys Road. Officers tried to stop the driver, but he took off and a chase ensued. The Chevy eventually crashed on Lorraine Road, near the I-10 overpass. The driver tried to run from the accident scene, but was caught before he could get away.

Gulfport Police arrested the driver, Demas Booker Jr., 17, of Gulfport. He's charged with armed robbery and felony fleeing and eluding. At the time of the crash, he was the only one in the car. Police are now looking for the other man involved in the robbery.

If you have any information that could help police, call the Gulfport Police Department at (228) 868-5959 or Crime Stoppers at (877) 787-5898. You can also leave a tip online at http://www.mscoastcrimestoppers.com/ or by texting CSTIP plus your message to 274637 (CRIMES).
