MAYER, AZ (CBS5) -

A group of teenagers were caught processing marijuana under a bridge in Mayer.

On Tuesday, three teenagers ages 14, 15 and 16 were believed to have brought marijuana on their school bus. The Yavapai County Sheriff's Office says they were hiding it in a musical instrument case.

A school resource officer learned that after the teenagers arrived on campus, they were absent from their classes. The deputy found them under a bridge nearby. It was there he saw them drying out several harvested marijuana plants and buds. The deputy arrested all three teenagers for possession of drugs in a school zone and drug paraphernalia.

After he arrested the three students, the deputy learned of a fourth teenager involved. The fourth teen was arrested the next day on the same charges. It was learned he had supplied the marijuana plants to the other students and agreed to pay them to dry the plants for later sales.
