MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -

An inmate at the Elmore Correctional Facility will have to find some other way to pass the time after authorities removed his Facebook page.

Inmate Robert Kimbrough was managing a social media account on Facebook from behind prison bars until WSFA 12 News contacted the Alabama Department of Corrections regarding his profile.

Kimbrough's profile included numerous photos from inside the facility and the posts started approximately eight months after a 2012 murder conviction. The posts continued through early this week.

The Alabama Department of Corrections requested the page be taken down after contacting Facebook. DOC officials say a disciplinary citation was issued to Kimbrough.
