Waveland police searching for armed robber

WAVELAND, MS (WLOX) -

Waveland police are looking for a man they said robbed someone around 9:45 a.m. Wednesday.

According to Waveland Police Chief David Allen, the man asked the victim for help before pulling a handgun and robbing him of his money.

Waveland police describe the robber as a tall, slender, white man. He was last seen wearing a green shirt, blue jeans and driving a green Saturn.

Allen said the incident happened on South Street near the bridge by Buccaneer State Park in Waveland. The robber took off towards Buccaneer State Park on South Street.
