GULFPORT, MS (WLOX) - After a foot chase, 45-year-old Leroy Coleman of Gulfport was arrested for three counts of burglary on Monday.
According to Gulfport Police Chief Leonard Papania Coleman had stolen items in his vehicle that connected him to on overnight vehicle burglary on October 4 at 47th Street. And one overnight on October 6 at Hearthstone Manor.
On Monday, an officer stopped Coleman, who was driving on Baker Street and 3rd Street. Once he stopped his vehicle he allegedly fled from the officer.
Papania said the foot pursuit didn't last long and Coleman was taken into custody. Coleman is also believed to have been involved in burglaries in other jurisdictions. He was booked at the Harrison County Adult Detention Center Facility with a hold for the Mississippi Department of Corrections.
