Outlets of Mississippi job fair preps

PEARL, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

You're invited to a free job fair prep session Thursday night that could help you stand out from the crowd during this weekend's Outlets of Mississippi job fair.

The outlet mall is still under construction, but is scheduled to open November 14th. In the meantime, mall and retail managers are looking to hire 1,600 employees.

An interview skills workshop will take place Thursday night at the Holiday Inn near the mall construction site in Pearl. The workshop is meant to help job seekers prepare for the Outlets of Mississippi job fair this Saturday and Sunday.

"Everything from managers of the stores to assistant  managers, key holders, part time employees, we'll have 60 stores at the job fair and they're looking for all levels of employment," said Kathy Hackshaw, the General Manager for the Outlets of Mississippi.

The job prep seminar will be hosted by Mark Millman, CEO of the Millman Group. It begins at 6:30 p.m. at the Holiday Inn Trustmark Park Conference Center in Pearl.

The job fair will take place this weekend at the Clyde Muse Center on the Hinds Community College Campus in Pearl.
