Hinds Supervisor candidate wants results thrown out

Posted: Updated:
JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

A losing candidate in Tuesday's primaries for Hinds County Supervisor is taking legal action to get the results thrown out.

David Archie, a Democratic candidate for District two, cites 15 reasons to block the election, in a motion filed Friday afternoon in Hinds County court.

Among the reasons, paper ballots were misplaced and unsecured, and some precincts had to turn voters away when ballots were unavailable.

Archie finished third, coming short of making the runoff by almost 400 votes.
