LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Due to expansion of I-65 in Jeffersonville, there will be the need to permanently close an interstate entrance ramp and roadway.
The Ohio River Bridges project announced that beginning Monday, September 30, the I-65 northbound entrance ramp from 6th Street will permanently close as well as Broadway Street between Court Avenue and 6th Street in Jeffersonville.
The detour route for local drivers will be to use Court Avenue to Spring Street to the 10th Street entrance ramp to I-65 north.
In addition, permanent closures have already taken place on 7th Street between Missouri Avenue and Broadway Street as well as VFW Boulevard between 7th Street and 9th Street.
Lane restrictions are also currently in place on US 31-South from Brown Station Way to Stansifer Avenue. The roadway is reduced to two lanes for several months. One lane traffic is in place just south of Stansifer Avenue. Cars are still able to exit onto 10th Street.
