NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

A former Donelson Christian Academy teacher is accused of sexually assaulting two students, ages 7 and 8.

David G. Turner, 57, was indicted on 14 counts of aggravated sexual battery after an investigation that began in February.

Police say the victims told their parents Turner had inappropriately touched them while they were in school.

Turner, who was suspended from the school shortly after the police investigation began, is jailed on $150,000 bond.

A spokesperson for the school said Turner taught Spanish, computers and coached bowling.

In a statement, DCA Headmaster Keith M. Singer said:

"This is extremely difficult news for any community. We will, however, move forward with the best interests of our students and families at the center of all we do. As a community of faith, we continue to pray for those who have been impacted by this situation"

When the WLOX First Alert Weather Team issues an Alert Day for South Mississippi, it is because we believe the  weather will impact your day. The current Alert Day is because of the high rainfall totals we have seen with the potential for more rain. In fact, a Flash Flood Watch is in effect through Tuesday evening.
