Attala Co. authorities investigate car crash

ETHEL, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

A car crashed into a pole in Ethel on Saturday.

At 4:14 p.m. Saturday MedStat EMS, Attala Deputies, Central Fire along with Ethel and Providence Volunteers responded to a one vehicle motor vehicle accident on King Street in Ethel.

Emergency personnel arrived on scene to find a silver Grand AM that had left the roadway and had crashed into a pole, breaking it in half.

First responders notified others unites that there was no entrapment and there were no lines on the ground.

Medics checked the occupants, but medical transport was refused.

Attala deputies said that there was a question as to who was driving the auto. One male was placed in handcuffs and placed in a patrol car.

No word yet as to if the subject was charged.

The Attala County Sheriff's Department is in charge of the investigation.
