'Large disturbance' closes Elizabeth Ave. in Westfield

WESTFIELD, MA (WSHM) -

A Westfield street had to be blocked off Saturday night after a family party erupted into a fight that spilled out onto the street.

Westfield police say they were called to Elizabeth Avenue around 9:30 p.m.

When they arrived 15 to 20 people were in the street fighting.

Police are not saying what caused the commotion.

One person had to be taken to Baystate Medical Center with injuries.

Police are searching for another family member who will face charges.
