Multiple ETX Counties drop burn bans

EAST TEXAS (KLTV) -

According to the county sheriff's offices, Rusk, Harrison, Shelby, Anderson and Marion counties have all dropped their burn bans as of Saturday.

Rusk county issued their burn ban on Tuesday, August 20th and this prohibited anyone from burning outdoors. That ban was lifted Saturday September 21st.

Harrison county issued their burn ban on Tuesday, July 30th and this also prohibited anyone from burning outdoors. This ban was also lifted Saturday.

Shelby county issued their burn ban earlier in the season and prohibited outdoor burning, but that was listed Saturday.

The Anderson county web site said: "Based on recent rainfall and the current weather conditions, the Burn Ban in Anderson County has been removed at this time by the County Judge Robert Johnston. Burn Ban has been lifted and please use caution when burning."

Marion county issued their burn ban on Friday August 9th, but lifted their ban Saturday.

While recent rainfall has been beneficial, all residents are urged to use caution if burning outdoors.
