ATLANTA, GA (Mississippi News Now) - Two distinguished former WLBT employees were honored in Atlanta Friday night.

The Reverend Kenneth Dean, who headed the station's leadership group in the 1970s, was inducted into the Gold Circle of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.

Former news director Dennis Smith was inducted into the Silver Circle. Smith retired as news director earlier this year after more than 40 years in television.

The Gold and Silver Circle is a society of honor for those who are committed to their craft and whose contributions extend far beyond the workplace.
