Employee robbed in Tri-Miss Recycling parking lot

Posted: Updated:

Jackson Police are investigating the robbery of an employee at Tri-Miss Recycling on Woodrow Wilson Drive. Business Manager Jeff Thoman says his employee was robbed at gunpoint in the parking lot after returning from the bank around 10 am.

Jeff Thoman says, "He had the gun in his neck basically another employee opened the door knocked the guy around a little bit but the guy was able to recover and pick up the bag and run."

Thoman says the thieves held a gun to his worker's neck, and took a cash withdrawal they had just got to operate for the day.

"We've been here 22 years and we've never had anything like this happen. It's as you know not unusual. We just feel very lucky that everyone's ok and that we've had a long string without having it happen. We just have to be a lot more careful," says Thoman.

Police are looking for a white Ford Explorer that the robber and an accomplice fled in.
