RANKIN COUNTY, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Rankin County sheriff's deputies, with help from Reservoir Police, have arrested an armed robbery suspect. He's accused of robbing a Spillway Road restaurant around 7:30 Thursday evening.

The robber was described as a black male with a white cloth covering his face, and wearing a white T-shirt and dark shorts. He was armed with a small revolver and left the scene on foot.

Twenty-seven-year-old James Wynn of Brandon was detained at a nearby apartment complex because he matched the description. A search warrant was obtained and deputies recovered the weapon used in the crime, the money taken from the business and the clothes the suspect reportedly wore during the robbery.

Wynn will have an appearance before Rankin County Judge Kent McDaniel.

The Flowood Police Department also assisted in the arrest.
