Man dies after motorcycle accident with U-haul truck

SPRINGFIELD, MA (WSHM) -

A 24-year-old man is dead after clipping his motorcycle on a U-haul truck in Springfield this morning.

The crash happened at the corner of Berkshire Avenue and Cottage Street around 10:30 a.m.

Police said the Indian Orchard man was speeding down Berkshire Ave. and clipped the tail of a U-haul truck that was turning onto Cottage Street. The man died at Baystate Medical Center.

The U-haul driver kept driving because he didn't realize the motorcycle hit him. That driver is not being charged.
