WARREN COUNTY, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Slow pitch softball players from Clinton and Vicksburg high schools took time from their game Thursday night to honor a 3-month-old baby named Allie.

Tuesday night Allie was hospitalized after being struck in the head by a foul ball at a slow pitch game between Vicksburg High School and Warren Central High School.

Prayers were requested via Facebook and Thursday night families of Vicksburg and Clinton players brought a card and present for baby Allie.

"We just wanted to send something to the baby, let them know our girls are thinking of them, praying for them," Tina Moore said.

Allie has quite a bruise on her head, but we're told she's back to her old self after having a procedure. She's expected to make a full recovery.

"This is a very big blessing that all these teens from around Mississippi got together and all the prayers they've given to us," said Allie's grandmother, Karen Etheridge.
