Waffle House coming to Point Cadet?

Posted: Updated:
BILOXI, MS (WLOX) -

Twenty four hour grits, hashbrowns and waffles may be coming to Biloxi's Point Cadet. Waffle House wants to build a restaurant on the southwest corner of First Street and Myrtle.

Wednesday, a company representative went before the city's Development Review Committee. Members gave Waffle House permission to apply to the planning commission for a zoning change and a variance on how much area can be paved.

Biloxi officials say if construction is approved, the Myrtle Street restaurant would be first Waffle House to be built on pilings.
