PIKE COUNTY, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

McComb Police are investigating an incident that happened Saturday night at the Pike County Little Theatre.

Sgt. Michael Roberts with the McComb Police Department said at approximately 10 p.m. Saturday night someone drove by the theatre and threw out a plastic chemical device.

"From what we've been able to determine the device was a plastic container and inside it was cleaning fluid and Brillo pads," Sgt. Roberts said.

Witnesses said they heard a loud bang after the device was thrown.

Roberts said witnesses said the vehicle was occupied by two black males. They described the vehicle as either a white Crown Victoria or possibly a Grand Marquis.

Roberts said he believes the incident was a scare tactic or a practical joke.

Police are investigating the incident.

There were no reports of injury or property damage.

According to the theatre's Facebook page there was a performance of "Steel Magnolias" Saturday night.
