Remote control car races in Flowood

FLOWOOD, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

The city of Flowood has welcomed hundreds of visitors this weekend thanks to remote control car racers.

The Flowood racecar indoor park is home to the J-concepts Indoor Clash Race.

More than 300 participants are competing for the combined $3,000 cash prize.

This race is considered the biggest remote control race ever in the state.

"We have five top professionals here one of them is from outside the country the rest of them they race at a very high level. They are paid to do this for a living so we have quite a collection of remote control racers at a very high level here this is a good crowd of racers," said Bubba Barham of Flowood R/C Indoor Park.

The contest ends on Sunday.
