JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

A dead tree fell on a west Jackson home Friday morning, injuring an infant. The tree damaged three rooms of the house, two downstairs and one upstairs.

The infant was in a carrier in one of the damaged rooms, and was struck by some debris. The injuries do not appear to be serious.

The tree fell around 6:30 Friday morning. The home is located in the 200 block of Galvez Street.
