A retired Canton firefighter is dead and an arrest warrant is expected this morning for his wife.

Canton police say 68-year-old Harry Cavitt Jr. was found dead in the home he shared with his wife, Tamace, 49.

Police say they became suspicious of Tamace when she called 911 and there was no remorse in her voice when she made the 911 call

911: Your husband is laying their dead?

Caller: Yes.

911: How do you know he's dead?

Caller: Because I was gone and I just came back and he's laying here dead.

Cavitt suffered a gunshot wound to the head.  Police also found the gun, which they believe belonged to Cavitt.

"He was a great guy, I worked with him when he was on my crew when I was a captain," said a former co-worker.

Tamace Cavitt has been taken to Mercy Medical Center for evaluation.

Police say when Tamace is cleared from her psych evaluation she'll be charged with the death of her husband.
