RANKIN COUNTY, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

A Rankin County School District teacher voluntarily surrendered her teaching license after allegations of inappropriate contact with students.

Amanda Thrash-McClure is accused of transporting students in her personal vehicle off campus with no other adults or school personnel present.

She's also accused of using vulgar and indecent language in the presence of students -- all in violation of the state code of ethics.

Thrash-McClure denies the allegations.

She can apply for reinstatement of her educator license after two years.
