JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

The search is on for the robbers who struck two Dollar General Stores in the capital city Wednesday.

Police responded to a location at Siwell Road, near Highway 18. Officers then searched a house south of the store but no one was taken into custody.

Jackson Police also responded to the McDowell Road and Suncrest Drive location.  Spokeswoman Colendula Green says they do not believe the same person committed both robberies.

"The first one was a dark male subject," said officer Green. "He was wearing a white cap with green around the cap, wearing dark clothing. The one on McDowell was a medium build about six foot one, wearing light blue shorts, a stripe on the side of the shorts, with a white shirt."

If you can help find these robbers contact Crimestoppers at 601-355-TIPS (8477). According to JPD  there have been five Dollar General robberies in Jackson since January 1.
