Weekend Whereabouts: August 30- Sept. 1

SOUTH MISSISSIPPI (WLOX) -

The Long Beach Band Festival brings you a variety of live bands including Hanover Drive, Suthurn Touch, Hester, South of 10 and many more. In addition to the music there's also a karaoke contest, classic cars and motorcycles, as well as, street vendors. For children's enjoyment, there's kiddie land and carnival rides. It's all happening Saturday and Sunday at Long Beach's Harper McCaughan Town Green.

Back Bay Music Festival gives you an all in one family friendly event at the Biloxi Boardwalk Marina and The Hook Up bar and restaurant. Several musical acts are lined up in the three day event including ISIS, my personal favorite the Molly Ringwalds, the Brennan Roybal band and several others. Beyond the music there's kids kayaking and a fishing rodeo, along with a volleyball tournament.

Your front door has no business being boring this Fall nor does the inside of your home. Jazz it up with one of a kind locally made wreaths and an assortment of other homemade goods at Crafter's Village this Saturday in Biloxi. You can also liven up your ensemble with colorful homemade scarves and jewelry with original designs. A variety of vendors including pampered chef and Plexius will also be onsite.
